Michael Kruppe is CEO of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), one of the world's leading exhibition venues, welcoming more than 7 million visitors annually and hosting over 120 exhibitions each year. He has played a key role in bringing major international trade shows and industry events to Shanghai, spanning sectors such as AI, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, telecommunications, electric vehicles, healthcare, and sustainability.

Michael serves on the boards of the German Chamber of Commerce in East China, UFI, AFECA, and ICCA, and is Vice Chair of the Chinese Venue Association. A strong advocate for international collaboration, he has helped strengthen business and cultural ties between China and Germany. His achievements have been recognised with the Shanghai Magnolia Medal, the Honorary Magnolia Gold Medal, and multiple industry leadership awards.
